Kit Care Guide
We sell kits from 4 weeks of age — weaned and eating solid feed. Here are the essential care steps for your first weeks with a new kit:
Housing
Provide a clean cage with minimum 60 cm × 40 cm floor space per kit. Ensure good ventilation but no direct draughts. Wire-mesh floors or solid floors with bedding both work well.
Feeding
Start with high-protein rabbit pellets (18–20% crude protein) fed twice daily. Fresh water must be available at all times. Introduce hay gradually from week 6.
Health
Vaccinate against pasteurellosis at 6 weeks if your vet recommends it. Deworm at 8 weeks. Monitor for sneezing, nasal discharge, or loss of appetite — contact us if concerned.
Handling
Handle kits gently from day one to socialise them. Support their hindquarters when picking them up. Avoid sudden movements that can cause stress or spinal injury.
